DAVID McLEOD

David McLeod

The role of Freddie Trumper is yet another extension to a career that has encompassed cabaret, comedy, radio and television. Seen regularly on Ray Martin's Midday Show, and having appeared on most major national variety shows, David's most notable performances were on Network 10's Star Search, where he became overall winner in the show's grand final in 1985. However, David's element is live performance, having provided backing vocals for Renee Geyer and Doug Parkinson and supporting such artists as Lana Cantrell, Paul Williams and Geraldine Turner. Besides lending his voice to jazz outfits suck as Galapagos Duck, David has also fronted his own bands -- the long-running David McLeod Band and most recently the aptly named McLeod 9.
