David Carroll

David Carroll played Bobby in the recent revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company for the York Players. He was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his performance opposite Linda Ronstadt in the New York Shakespeare Festival's production of La Boheme directed by Wilford Leach. A graduate of Dartmouth College, David has starred on Broadway in Wind in the Willows, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Oh Brother! and Rodgers and Hart. The national company of Deathtrap brought him to Hollywood where he appeared in the television movies Hero at Large, Splendor in the Grass, The Promise of Love and To Race the Wind as well as episodes of Knots Landing, The Rockford Files, Paris and CHiPs. His most unusual assignment has been in the Japanese musical Ernie Pyle opposite Yoko Shimada. Off-Broadway, David originated the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and sang New Tunes at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Regional theatre work includes Oh Boy! at the Goodspeed Opera House, Our Town at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Strike Up the Band at the American Music Theatre Festival in Philadelphia and Side by Side by Sondheim at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami.
