MARIA MERCEDES

Maria Mercedes' career has spanned 15 years, covering every spectrum of the entertainment industry. She trained vocally with Viola Ritchie, and dramatically with Charles "Bud" Tingwell and Natalie Raine. Maria has also worked extensively in the music industry. She has appeared in concerts, clubs and rock venues throughout the country. Maria's screen credits include Homicide, Division Four, Patrol Boat, Prisoner, Inside Running, The Midday Show, Hey Hey It's Saturday and the film Patrick with Sir Robert Helpmann. Her musical theatre credits include the major roles of Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show, Grizabella in Cats and her critically acclaimed role of Luisa Contini in John Diedrich's production of Nine. Maria is currently working on an album of original material.
