
RUDY AQUINO
Musician with The Aliis, Rudolfo Aquino, Sr. was born in Pahala, Kau, Hawaii. He was educated in Kailua and
studied piano with Frank Owens. He began his musical career with Bernie Hal-Mann at the Hawaiian Village.
From the USAF band, he joined the Aliis and performed with Don Ho at Duke Kahanamoku's for five years. He
toured with Don's show all over the mainland and in various TV specials. The Aliis broke away and opened in
1969 at the Ilikai Hotel. The group played clubs in Hawaii and on the mainland and made several albums.
