Maui Bent was born in Kona, and began her career as a singer and dancer with Alfred Apaka at the Tapa Room.
She toured the mainland for four years with the Polynesian Revue and appeared with Serling Mossman at the
Barefoot Bar and with Don Ho in Las Vegas. She joined her husband Charley at the Flamingo Hotel's Royal
