IWALANI KAHALEWAI

Sister-in-law of Haunani, Iwalani was born in Maui, and her singing and dancing graced Hawaii Calls. She began her career as a USO performer, and in 1958 joined the Alfred Apaka Show at the Hawaiian Village's Tapa Room. After Apaka's death, she sang at Don the Beachcomber's, the Halekulani Hotel, the Moana Hotel luaus, Tavana's Polynesian Revue at the Ala Moana Hotel, and sang with the Royal Hawaiian Band.
