MARTIN SMITH
Martin Smith was born in Scotland and made his acting debut there in a BBC Play for Today. Following this he moved south and began a series of leading roles in West End Musicals that included Billy, Something's Afoot, Let the Good Stones Roll, The Great American Backstage Musical and most recentlyThe Umbrellas of Cherbourg. His Regional Theatre experience includes two seasons at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester which included roles in the critically acclaimed Sophocles Trilogy and as Stephen Foster in a play about the composer's life called Beautiful Dreamer. His television appearances include Fox, Very Like a Whale, One-Upsmanship, Question of Guilt, Play for Today, Henry V, Follow the Star, Jackanory, Playhouse Secret Army, House on the Hill, Kelly Monteith Show. Martin is also a song-writer.
