MARTI WEBB

Marti Webb studied at the Aida Foster Stage School. In the West End she has appeared in Stop the World I Want to Get Off with Anthony Newley, co-starred with Tommy Steele in Half a Sixpence at the Cambridge Theatre and played Nancy in Oliver! in the national tour and then for a year at the Piccadilly Theatre. Marti was in the original cast of Godspell, first at the Roundhouse and then at Wyndham's Theatre. Other West End leading roles include Nellie Cotterill in The Card opposite Jim Dale at the Queen's Theatre, Susie Dean in The Good Companions with John Mills at Her Majesty's Theatre, and most recently she was seen as Kelly Moran in The Great American Backstage Musical at the Regent Theatre. Marti is a regular member of the Players Theatre, London. On television, Marti has appeared in The Good Old Days and six episodes of the BBC TV series The Songwriters. She has just completed an anthology of music and poetry for the BBC called The British in Love. Marti has recorded an album Tell Me On a Sunday [ed. note: this became the 'Song' part of Song and Dance] written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black, which has also been recorded by BBC Television.
