HAROLD PRINCE, director

Mr. Prince has worked in the capacities of director and producer for the musicals Pacific Overtures, Candide, A Little Night Music, Follies, Company, Zorba, Cabaret, Superman, and She Loves Me. He produced The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, New Girl in Town, West Side Story and Fiorello. In addition Mr. Prince produced Take Her, She's Mine, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Poor Bitos, Fiddler on the Roof and the current hit musical Side by Side by Sondheim. He directed revivals of O'Neill's The Great God Brown, Duerrenmatt's The Visit and Congreve's Love for Love. Mr. Prince has directed the films Something for Everyone and A Little Night Music. This season he has staged the American premiere of Israeli composer Josef Tal's opera Ashmedai for the New York City Opera and directed On the 20th Century on Broadway. His future projects are directing The Girl of the Golden West for the Chicago Lyric Opera Company and a new musical by Stephen Sondheim, Sweeney Todd, for next season.
