Charlie the squid lived at Waikiki Beach
Makai of the Royal, his house is a peach
With sand on the floor and koa on the walls
And the blue Pacific running through like Niagara Falls
Charlie the squid lived in luxury
He's a guy who's well off, you have to agree
Now Charlie the squid could do just as he pleased
Had no wife who could nag him or boss him or tease
But the catch in the story is that Charlie met his fate
When he ran into a beauty named Kapalama Kate
This Kapalama Kate with her eight gorgeous arms
Had charlie all pupule lovable charms
Now Charlie the squid sure fell head over heels
And Kapalama Kate knew he'd buy all her meals
It didn't take long for Kapalama Kate
To get poor old Charlie all cornered so he'd set the big date
And that was the end of Charlie's gay life
At a wedding near the Royal, he took Kate for a wife
Now Charlie the squid with his keikis galore
Is the king of the squid on the big ocean floor
So if you take a swim just makai of the Royal
And the water all around you starts to churn and to boil
It's Charlie the squid out on a jamboree
And Kapalama Kate and the family
